FREQUENLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Questions, queries, and quandaries on the Mycologos multiverse

General

Everything we can offer that gets more people engaged in mycology! We provide online and hands-on training, produce and curate a range of goods, preserve rare mushrooms, run an organic Fungi Farm, design applied mycology tools, and research mycoremediation, to name a few highlights.

Our headquarters is not currently open to the public. If you’d like to meet us in person, check out our Events Calendar to see if something is happening near you.

Online Course Support

As our system is currently not able to automatically generate student accounts upon enrollment, please allow 1–2 business days for your account to be established. Once it is setup, you will receive at least two emails: one with instructions for logging into the Mycologos Community Forum, and one for logging into the Mycologos Courses Portal. You may also receive other emails related to the specific course you enrolled in.

Our emails occasionally get marked as promotions, so be sure to check all of the folders in your email inbox and add our email address ([email protected]) to your contact list to ensure you don’t miss any future emails.

Not currently. As the applied mycology field is still very young, our students are encouraged to creatively adapt the skills we cover to best support their life and career goals. We offer a number of suggestions for where and how to apply the knowledge covered in each course, as well as a Certificate of Completion pathway to validate the skills acquired, which can complement job applications in a variety of fields.

The MCP is where all the course content is provided, but with no means to comment or communicate with other students. The MCF is a message board where students in a course can share ideas and research related to course content in a searchable and archivable method.

The Mycologos Community Forum is the best place to start and engage in discussions related to the topics covered in a course.

Some of our courses are released one week at a time. This is to encourage thorough absorption of the content as well as space to engage in the weekly activities, readings, and other supplemental material. If you want to watch all of a course’s lectures in one long sitting, you can wait until all of the course’s weekly materials have been made available to you.

No, and there likely never will be. Instead, we have created our own forum (which is much easier to navigate and search than a Facebook group), where our students can share ideas, research, and arrange meetups.

Our courses are not covered by Veterans Affairs programs, though we do have a discount option for veterans here.

Orders & Shipping

If you created an account on our website while placing your first order, you can log into that account in the upper right hand corner of your screen (if you are on a computer) to access your account settings and order history.

If you'd like to modify your shipping info or the contents of your order, the best way to do it is to cancel the order and place a new order. Please contact us via email to cancel your order. Refunds generally take 2-3 business days to appear in your bank account.

Coupon codes are entered just before you complete your order. At the final checkout screen, there is a space below your order summary to enter the code.

In most cases, no. There are special circumstances when a coupon can work in conjunction with a sale. If this is the case for your code, we will likely tell you when you receive the code.

Shipping rates vary by the destination, courier, and time window you choose. Available shipping options and their associated rates can be viewed when finalizing your order.

All of the items for sale on our website are in USD. If you live outside of the U.S.A., your financial institution will convert this amount to the local currency and may also apply an additional processing fee.

Visa, Mastercard, and Discover cards, as well as PayPal and Apple Pay. You can select your payment method preference at checkout.

There are no taxes applied to your order by Mycologos. If you live outside of the U.S.A., there may be importation taxes, fees, or duties that will be required upon receipt of your item. We cannot quote for these rates, so please contact your local customs and importation office to determine what those costs may be.

Sometimes our emails get filtered as promotions. Be sure to check all of your email inbox by searching for “@mycologos.world.” If the email was filtered out, add our email to your contact list so that you don’t miss any future updates.

Please allow 1–3 business days for your order to be processed. If your order was shipped via USPS First Class there will not be a tracking number associated with the order. If your item shipped with any other class or courier, contact us at [email protected] to confirm the tracking number.

Please allow up to 10 business days for orders of physical items to be fulfilled and shipped (though most are fulfilled in 3–4 days). Once shipped, the time until delivery will vary based on the courier and shipping class chosen at checkout. Please check your tracking number for an estimated delivery date.

All of those details are here.

If you live outside the U.S.A., this may be because your order is being held in customs. Please refer to your tracking number to see the latest status update on your package. If the item is being held by your local customs office, we will not be able to expedite that process (unless you need supporting documentation from us).
