In-Person Events Policies

Payment & Registration Policy

All of our in-person courses and events require a deposit. Some of our in-person events also require an application, interview, or other form of screening prior to admittance in the course or event.

When we receive your deposit we will place a temporary hold on one seat in the course in your name.

If the courses that require an application as a part of the enrollment process, MYCOLOGOS will reply within 21 days of receipt of your application to inform you of whether you have been admitted into the course or event.

Accepted applicants will need to complete their registration by paying the remaining tuition balance in full at least 30 days prior to the start of the event. Late payments will incur a fee of 5% the total course cost each day thereafter. If your balance is not paid 21 days prior to the start of the course of the event, your registration will be considered forfeited, your space in the course or event will be opened, and your deposit will not be refunded.

In the event that your application is denied as a part of the enrollment process, your deposit will be refunded in full.

In the unlikely event that we cancel a course or event, deposits and any other funds paid will be fully refunded to all registrants.

If you wish to pay by mail, you will need to send the payment via cashier’s check or money order. Please contact us for more information and instructions prior to mailing payment.

Nonrefundable Deposits

Some of the deposits for our in-person courses and events are nonrefundable. If you need to cancel your registration for one of these events, we may be able to switch your registration to a different session or potentially to another course. Such transfers are decided upon at the discretion of MYCOLOGOS on a case-by-case basis and are not guaranteed.

Work Trade Policy

For some of our in-person courses and events, we offer a limited number of work-trade positions. These roles require payment of at least half of the course cost (in the form of a deposit) along with the ability to start early and stay late each day of the event, and potentially in the days leading up to and following the event. The requirements for work trade positions vary by event and are non-negotiable (though we are happy to accommodate a work-trader's physical and or knowledge-based limitations).

Those interested in a work trade position in one of our courses or events must also fill out an application when placing their deposit and submitting their registration application.

If a work trade position is available for the event, details will be noted in the event’s description. If no work trade position is mentioned, none are available.

If you are not accepted as a work trader and you cannot pay the full rate for the course, we will refund your deposit at least 30 days prior to the start of the event.
